WOW...It has been a long time since I posted. Alot of things have been happening...so much I wouldn't know where to begin.

But if you noticed the title of this entry you will see that one thing hasn't changed. ...I still LOVE photography. After I had Carson I continued to do pictures but it was more than I could handle...2 kids & working full time so I decided to stop.

The boys are now 6 (Andrew) & 3 (Carson). Things have slowed down enough to were I am able to start up the business again...but this time I am teaming up with my SIL Leslie...her blog is The FiDesigns. Andrews Kindergarten Photo Session

Andrew started to Kindergarten this year and I wanted to remember it with a photo session. I took him to Renee Bouldin Photography in Sparta, TN. She did a great job!!! She had a special for all Kindergarten students and I had to jump on it.

I was able to purchase the CD with the pics, so today I made a photo book on Snapfish.com. They have a Fall Sale going on with 40% off when you use the FALL40SALE. It's Fair Time In Tennessee

Our county fair started this week so we hit it up Monday night. This is the first year Carson could ride some of the smaller kid rides. He kept saying on the way there "Me not want to ride", but his attitude changed when we got there. He had a blast. Andrew as always was pumped about riding.

Here are a few pics...some are a little bit blurry. I forgot to take my nice camera but luckily I had my little camera in my purse. I knew it would come in handy sometime. :)

Wedding Weekend Part II

Here are the pictures from the wedding and reception. These are just some snapshots that a friend made during the wedding and some I made during the reception. They are nothing spectacular.

Here is the White Archway...it was GORGEOUS. Martha had shown me a picture in a magazine of what she wanted and I was a little worried, but I think it turned out better than the magazine.

Here we are all cleaned up and in our line. I loved how my hair turned out. I was so afraid it would not hold but have no fear....Rhonda did a great job.

As I type this the newlyweds are in St. Lucia, soaking up some rays, having a blast. I need a vaca after this. :)

The Wonderful Wedding Weekend Part I

It seems like it was yesterday that Bobby & Martha got engaged but it has actually been a year. All the planning and preparation came full circle this past Saturday.

Some of the decorating started earlier in the week with Bobby and his brothers getting the tent up and ready in our yard for the reception....Let's just say if we had a video camera last Wednesday night when a thunderstorm popped up we could be alot richer. They say it was a site watching me, Chris, my Father In Law & our new neighbor (which Chris & I had yet to meet) chasing the tent as it was blowing through our yard, headed straight to our neighbors house when it decided to make a turn and head to the main highway, throwing me down on the ground. No one was hurt and the tent was saved so the preparation must go on.

The Rehearsal Dinner was held at a family's house out in the country.

It was so relaxing and beautiful.

This is outside around their pool. They have an outdoor kitchen with a

huge fireplace. Looks like something out of Southern Living magazine.

The Centerpieces for the tables...so simple but very cute.

They had a great spread laid out for us...BBQ, Green beans, Potato Salad, homemade sour dough bread, hash brown casserole & so many desserts I can't even remember. It was great and the weather turned out to be great also.

Next post will be on the big day....hoping to have it up this afternoon or tomorrow.

Please take note on how the white arch looked during the rehearsal. You will be blown away with how it looks for the wedding. Just a little something to keep you hanging.

Carsons 1st Boat/Fishing Trip

Since we have been having some amazing weather lately we decide to go out on the lake Tuesday afternoon. This was Carsons 1st time on the lake and fishing. He was alittle unsure when we first took off in the boat, however it didn't take long for him to decide he LOVED it. His favorite thing to say was "Go Fast".

Andrew loves the lake also...his favorite thing was "Lets go speed fast". I on the other hand was a nervous wreck while we were fishing. The boys had on their life jackets and I know they would be fine if they were to fall in but I would totally lose it. The thought of seeing my babies falling in and not being able to reach them just upsets me. Andrew knows to stay away from the edge...Carson on the other hand has a mind of his own.

Our Hero Is Home

PFC Billy Gene Anderson

Last Monday one of our local soldiers was killed in Afghanistan.

His name was PFC Billy Gene Anderson... Age 20. Husband to my distant cousin Caitlin and father to a 9 month old little girl...Lily Grace.

Today Our Hero made his way back home. I am so proud to say that I live in a small town when something like this happens people join together to show support. His body arrived in Smithville around 11:45 am. I am so proud to say I attend a church that went out, held flags, cried tears, and showed support as his body made its way past our church in route to the funeral home.

My Big Boy Graduated From Preschool

I can't believe my oldest son graduated from preschool this past week. I was very proud of myself for holding it together, especially during the video presentation. They had each of their graduation pictures with the name beside it and then slowly moved in a baby picture of them. I almost lost it. Hopefully I will be able to post it sometime soon.

For now here are some pics of him and a short video clip of his class singing a song.

Andrew with his cousin Austin. Every year they bring back the graduating seniors who graduated from preschool. Austin graduated from Smithville Day School in 1995 I believe that is what someone told me. This makes me feel really old...that is the year I graduated from High School. Austin received a scholarship from Cumberland University to play golf. We are so proud of his accomplishments.

Next is Ms. Trina, his teacher. She is such a wonderful person and teacher. We are so proud he was able to have her this year and he LOVES her so much. He is going to really miss her and preschool, but he is so excited about going "Big School". I wish I was as excited about it as he is. I am having a hard time with it.

And last is a picture of him at home before we went. He was so excited. He had a stomach virus on Tuesday and Wednesday and we were so afraid he would miss graduation. But he felt better on Thursday to go in for practice and the ceremony that night.

Here are a few video links of the Flood in Nashville, TN and surrounding areas. This hits a little to close to home. I can't believe we live one hour away from this. The last I heard 19 people lost their lives in the flood. I am so afarid after the water resides many more bodies will be found in cars, homes and other buildings.

This happened so quickly. I can't imagine what was going thru the peoples minds when they were on the interstates and it started flooding. I have never seen anything like this before. Cars stuck on the interstate and people trying to escape before it was to late. We sat at home Saturday watching it LIVE and were in total shock.

Andrews New Chapter in Life

When we learned we were having a boy 6 years ago we started thinking about all things he would do. Chris & I both thought he would play sports, especially t-ball and move into baseball but Andrew had a different idea. He wanted to play soccer.

I was completely fine with this decision as I don't agree with some of the things with our t-ball league. For example, he would be playing coach pitch this year instead of t-ball. I personally think he/and alot of other kids his age could use another year of t-ball before coach pitch. My husband on the other hand was not sure of soccer. He always wanted him to play ball, but does agree with me that he should have another year of t-ball.

My husband had to miss Andrews 1st soccer game, he watched it on video (thanks to my wonderful sister in law...Aunt Fifi...The FiDesigns... for recording). He was able to see Andrew score his first goal ever and it happen to be the first goal of the game also. He was very proud of him but I still don't think he really understood the excitement until this past Saturday. Andrew scored 2 goals Saturday and Chris was really getting into it. Andrew is #13 on the yellow team. Here is the video of his 1st goal Saturday.

Yes...my baby has his victory dance down pat. I am so proud of him and hope he continues to really enjoy whatever sport he plays in the future. Mom and Dad will be there cheering him on along with his cheering section...his first game he had 13 people there. It was crazy.

My Rocking Redo

I have been on a kick of wanting to redo things. We have a small room in the house that we never really decorated. It is called a "Living Room" on the house plans and we hardly ever use it. We always use the "Family Room" instead. So it was kinda ignored. I did have a wing back chair & matching ottoman in their along with a table my aunt had let us borrow until we decide what to do.

I have a vision of a "Shabby Chic/Black&White" Office. Does this make any sense? lol I didn't want to spend a lot of money on new furniture so I started searching Craig's List and Local Sales Network...and I was able to find a old rocking chair. I fell in love with the style of legs. I knew she had potential. I warned my husband when we went to pick it up. I said "Now this chair does not look like much". His response when he got back in the truck was "that is the ugliest chair I have ever seen". Granted it did look bad. Here is what it looked like when we made it home....

See the detail on the legs...that is what I feel in love with. I was so excited to get to "work" so I started that night. Boy was I in for a surprise. HA! This is the 2nd layer of upholstery....

I have never pulled some many tacks and straight pins before. I would guess over 200 in that chair.

So after this was finished we had to rebuild the seat part, fill in a lot of holes with wood filler, sand that down, clean off all the dust, spray with Killz...and I was able to paint it. Yeah!!! Then was the reupholstery. I had no clue what to do on that so that is where my mother in law took over.

I purchased all of the material and the cushion from "Hancock's Fabric". I went with a 100% cotton fabric. The cushion was $16.99 and the fabric was $7.99 yd and we used 1.5 yards.

Here is what she looks like now....

I am loving how it looks!! Whenever we get the room finished I will post more pics. I have another "redo" item that I am putting the finishing touches on that goes in the room.

Out with the old and in with the new...sort of

When we built our house 6 and a half years ago we got bar stools as a Christmas Gift from Chris' aunt. I LOVED them!!! They had a cream seat cover...they stayed nice & clean until we had kids and along with time they started looking really bad...I mean BAD. So it was time to do something.

I really liked the style of them and hated to buy new ones so I decided to recover them. The process of me finding the material that I liked took some time. You see we never put curtains up in our kitchen...yes 6 and a half years of no kitchen curtains...wide open. I was never in a rush for any until Chris' cousin built to the backside of our house. And here I will admit...that if you were to show up at our house in the morning before 8 or at night after 9 I would be totally embarrassed and you would be totally shocked/embarrassed. I usually sleep in a old big tshirt. It covers everything but I would still be embarrassed. I know I am not the only person who does this. So it was time to cover up the windows.

So for Christmas I ask for this to hang on the wall in the kitchen...

This is from Bed Bath & Beyond. I love all the different colors. I ended up getting curtains in the blue to match the big plate in the center. I really didn't want to use a blue for the bar stools. It is so hard to find something to exactly match so I went with a something that matches the plate collage.

I love how they turned out. I had never done anything like this before. With help from my mother in law they look awesome. That is one thing checked off the list of things to get done.

Hubbys Birthday

As usual I am late with another post. We celebrated my husbands 37th birthday in February. We didn't have a big to do. We went out to eat with family and friends and came back to eat this...

The boys worked hard on this and they were so proud of what the created...and so was Dad & Mom. After cake we went home to give Dad his present from us.

They were from Shari's Berries. www.berries.com They were awesome! 1 Strawberry had 120 calories. These were the biggest strawberries I have ever seen.

As you can tell they could not wait to take them to the kitchen table. Opened the box right in the middle of the kitchen floor. Carson was so funny watching him eat it. He loved it!! I will be ordering more in the future.

Just a little post...not anything big.

We have been working on little odd stuff in the house lately and I am redecorating our bathroom and bedroom. So that means some things have got to gooooo.

I made this collage of all the bathroom and bedroom decor' I am selling and posted it on the local sales network. I didn't get 2 of the square pictures in the collage cause I ran out of room. Andrews Valentine Party

I have been so bad lately about blogging. I just can't get it together, as you can tell by the name of this entry...Valentines Party and it was 13 days ago. Anyways, I was able to go to the party for awhile. I am so blessed to have a job where I can attend the parties and other preschool functions.

Each party I try to make a little something for all the kids from Andrew. This time it was little red buckets with their initial on the front filled with candy and a cookie.

Andrew is not sure if he wants to eat his Ice Cream Sunday or not.

At least we made it on there even if we are 2nd on the list..lol Oh, I LOVE that boy!!!

A Few Of My Favorite Things

I love thee like the picture...I could eat a big bar of milk chocolate.

Now this may not mean anything to most of you...but when I see this I know we are just minutes away from this....

Destin, FL...my favorite beach!!! I know we are about to have a week of making family memories, making memories with the kids that hopefully they will remember forever. No worries, no stress...to be carefree for 7 days. Oh how I long for summer to come.

During the summer I love this place also...Center Hill Lake in my hometown.

We live just minutes from here and for the past few years (since we had kids) I have not been that much. Since the kids are getting older (5 & 2) I hope we can start going as a family and making more memories.

Now my husband goes fishing ALOT so he gets his time on the lake but I hope to get mine this year. I love to be outside at home at night...sometimes we can hear the boats in one of the coves near our house.

My list could go on and on but I don't have time and you would get bored reading it (if anyone is reading this) so I must stop. Next time I will be posting my Favorite Blogs.

FAMILY + SNOW = FUNTIMES

It finally happend...we got snow, the most snow we have had in years. Along with the snow came some ice also but luckly we only lost electricity for about an hour on Saturday morning.

Andrew was so excited Friday night. He kept going to the kitchen door and saying "I can't wait to play in it in the morning." Here are some pics from our family fun time.

I was so amazed at the ice on our landscape and everything.

We didn't stay out very long....maybe 30 minutes. Saturday night my throat started hurting really bad so Sunday Chris went to get me some meds and now I am starting to feel better. I love looking at everyones pictures of the snow. I love to have one good snow a year then I am ready for my warm, sunny weather. So now I am ready for this snow to melt, the temp. to rise and stay that way.

Where to begin?

I have been such a bad blogger lately. The months of November and December are so busy for me. I guess I should start out with November.... We had Carson's 2nd Birthday party...did I just say 2nd..where did the time go? He is in LOVE with Choo Choo trains, so that was our theme. I found this lady on ETSY who made his matching shirt and invitations. www.mollycarolinedesigns.etsy.com They were so cute...here are some pics from the party. I made a his Birthday banner to match the colors of the party. Once I was finished with his party it was on to Andrew's 5th Birthday party in December...did I just say 5th...I am about to cry. We traveled to Cookeville to The Bounce Zone to celebrate. Andrew was so excited to have some of his friends from preschool & Church there. Here are some pics

In between the birthday parties we had several other functions...My companies Christmas Party was the 1st friday night in December at Mortons of Chicago in downtown Nashville. We had a awesome time...of course the food was great. I LOVE their salads!!! I could just order that and be happy and full. I am not a big steak fan but Chris is and looks so forward to this every year. My boss chartered a tour bus to pick everyone up in Smithville and drive to Nashville and back. And this year we had entertainment...a magician...he was AWESOME!!! I cannot remember his name but he had preformed at the White House twice. I have to say I am blessed to have such a great boss and great group of people to work with. The following Friday night was Chris' company party at Fall Creek Falls. It is about an hour and fifteen minute drive and Chris had been having some health problems so we hitched a ride with a co worker and his wife...Brandon & Becky. They are so funny. The whole way there we quoted lines from "Christmas Vacation" This is a holiday favorite. I really enjoy going to the party...they have such a spread to eat...turkey & dressing, green beans, potatoes, etc...and about 4 or 5 differents desserts to pick from.

Since it is so hard for us to find time to go Christmas shopping on the weekends Chris & I decided to head out one Sunday afternoon. We made our 1st stop in Mt. Juliet, TN at the new mall there, then onto Opry Mills where we spent the night at the Opryland Hotel. I have never stayed there before and I was so excited. If you have never stayed there before I highly recommend it, especially during the Christmas season. It is so beautifully decorate.

Then we made it to Christmas....the kids got way too much as usual. I finally got a camcorder. We have an old one that I don't ever think they make tapes for anymore. I was so happy to get to record the kids Christmas morning Now we are into a new year...2010. I know we are just a week into it but I have already made some changes. I have been one week without a coke product and one week without any desserts with sugar. I have been eating fresh fruits or products that are sugar free and using my new Wii Fit. I am hoping to lose some of this baby weight that I have been carrying around for 2 years. It is time for me to get off of here. Carson is screaming and crying for me to hold him. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Here she is....

Oh how I love my tree this year...I totally changed my colors. It was time for a makeover and I couldn't be happier. Now if there was someway to keep Carson from taking the ornaments off. His new game is...Lets see how many ornaments he can take off before he gets caught. :) He was so excited when we brought all the ornaments out. He was pulling Santas and snowmen out of the storage box faster than I could pick them up. I can tell this Christmas is going to be awesome!!

I am running so far behind it is not even funny. I am slowly but surely getting caught up. I have Carsons birthday invitations order and should be here any day!! I can't believe he will be 2. Martha did a awesome job on the cake and creating the prego lady on the cake. She is made from clay and is a keep sake for Leslie!

Today was Andrew's Preschool Halloween Party. I took the day off to go enjoy the party and to go shopping afterwards for a few last minute decorations for Leslie's Baby Tea Sunday. Here are a few pics from the event.

They first started out the day by making their own pizzas.

Next they were able to meet a very special person in Andrew's life...Mario. He loves to play Super Mario Brothers!! So he was happy...but you can't tell by this picture. Ha!

Then it was time for some Halloween snacks.

To be finished off with a picture with Mom. This made my day! He usually does not like to have his picture made me.

I can't believe this time next year my baby will be in Kindergarten. Where did the time go?

Here is a sneak peak at Leslies (FiDesigns) Baby Tea Invitations. I am totally lovin' it! I love the zebra print and turquoise and the little rhinestone on the purse adds just the right "bling" to it.

I had the layout/design pictured in my head but I have to say they turned out so much better than I expected. They took a while to make but it was so worth it. I can't wait to post pictures from the tea...I have some really cute decor and I am hoping it will look really "fab" as Fi says.

The Pumpkin Patch

Here are a few pics from Andrew's 1st Field Trip....we went to the pumpkin patch. I have been looking forward to the day I could go on a field trip with my kids. My mother & Carson came along also. Carson had a blast, he thought he was just as big as the other kids.

These little cuties are on the way to San Jose, CA to TWIN boys born today...Ari & Evan. The lady who ordered these for her best friend contacted me tonight to say they had arrived...check this out. 7lbs 3 oz 20 inches long & 7lbs 4oz 20 inches long....WOW I have never heard of twins weighing this much before.

Wishing this new family much health & happiness!!!

I am taking a break for a few days....taking a much deserved "girls trip" with my mom, aunt, and cousins to Pigeon Forge, TN. Lookout malls here we come!!!

Here She Is....Summer Jane

I wanted to post some pics of our newest addition to the family....Summer Jane.

She was 13 days old in these pics. She was so alert and hungry. We had to take a few breaks for mom to feed her but it was worth it. She did great!!! Andrew & Carson were so excited for "Baby Summer" to finally make a visit to our house. I think we will keep her, she is just so precious!!

I am so excited...tomorrow Leslie (FiDesigns) & I are going to the Autumn Street Fair in McMinnville. This is the first time for us to go. We really don't know much about it but from what we hear it sounds great. I hope to come back with some goodies.

Goodbye Summer..Hello Fall

I love Fall....it is probably my favorite season. I love to decorate inside and out. We usually have a Fall Fun Fest for our family and friends in our backyard. Everyone has been asking if we are having it this year, and yes we are having it just have to work out the plans.

So with the seasons changing it was time to take down my front door decoration. I was soooo proud of this because I made it. This was the first time I was actually able to finish a floral arrangement. My mom didn't believe me when she first saw...she finally believed me when I showed her all the stuff I purchased to make it. Here is a close up of it....

I really hated to take it down....I really like it. Here is a view of it hanging on the door....

Wanted to post some pics of some appliques I have been working on for a customer. So Chrissy if read this I will be sending you a email today.

She ordered the E and I for her children and the K for her niece. I threw in the lower case letters for FREE...see you never know what else you might get when you order from me. It's just a little way for me to say "Thank You". I love the colors!!

Next up... I have started making for my nephew whose due date is in January.

I guess you can tell he will be named Lee... ;) I still have several other items I am working on for him and more for the etsy shop.

I know this will be random but I am thinking about putting together a Craft Fair. This is something I have been thinking about for some time now and since a local club is not having Autumn in The Park this year I thought it would be great to have it around the time of the Christmas Open houses on the square. This is just a thought...but if you are reading this and would be interested in participating please contact me. The show would probably be held on Friday afternoon and Saturday November 13th and 14th.

WARNING....PICTURE OVERLOAD AHEAD

What a weekend and it's not even over. Chris went out of town Friday morning and just returned about an hour ago, needless to say the kids are running wild around the house now.

Yesterday was a big day for us. We (my mom, Erin & Shayla...my younger cousins & I) took the kids to Cookeville to see the Train Depot.

The actual depot was closed for the holidays so all we could do was climb on the train, I told them we would go back another time to see inside. Carson was not in the best of moods. I could not get him to smile for anything and Andrew was too amazed. Here are some pics from the visit.

Then we took a little stroll to The Candy Caboose in the older part of town. This was the cutest place and I knew Andrew would LOVE it...and I was right.

Then we headed back home to rest for the 2nd part of the big day.

After a little rest...no naps I would like to add we were off to the fair for some fun and
excitement.

This was the first time we have been able to see my uncle pull the tractor and the kids were amazed. It was very loud and boys loved all the black smoke.

It was a long day and night....it was almost midnight before we got to bed and they were so tired. This is what I woke up to this morning...
Priceless.

I can't believe this is my 100 th post and also my 1 year blog anniversary was in August. I have had such a wonderful time making new blog friends and seeing so many awesome blogs.

This started out as a way for me to display my photography, talk about my family, and showcase my jewelry. Who knew that in a year I would have people in other states and countries purchasing my jewelry. It just blows my mind!! I am truly blessed beyond measure!! I am so blessed to have a husband that supports me in my ventures (even though he might make some comments about my spending sometimes). This is a way for me to create and a stress reliever.

I have always wanted to venture into the sewing side of being crafty, until I find a place to take sewing classes I will stick to this..ha ha

As I was looking on ETSY last week I decide to take a stab at this....and I love it... so here it is......

This is my first iron on applique....Groovy Striped Car. I made this for Carson and he loves it!! Andrew wanted something also so I made him something different...the problem is finding a shirt to put his on. Whenever I find a shirt I will post a picture....a little hint....it has to do with Halloween.

What a week...We started out the week attending our local fair on Monday night to see my cousin Erin in a pageant.

I can't believe she is 14....where did the time go? Anyways, I was very proud of her and I thought she looked very pretty. Actually I believe she did better in this pageant than she has done in any before. Needless to say with 2 kids when didn't stay long at the pageant area.....we were off to ride the amusement rides....YEAH. But before we made it to the ticket booth Andrew was picked up by his big girlfriend..."Big Lydia", so we had to make a picture.

After the photo session we made are way to the "FUN". This was the 1st time for Carson to ride anything at the fair. He loved it!!!!

The next morning we headed out to Pigeon Forge, TN. Chris had a meeting at the "Wilderness

at the Smokies" Resort. Yeah for us....this resort is awesome. A huge indoor water park with a kiddie area, wave pool, surfing area and a awesome outdoor area with a lazy river plus from what I hear awesome slides. We didn't even make it to the outdoor area which was contected to the indoor. Here are some pics...

Planning Early So I Won't Stress Later

I realize today is July 15th....4 months and 1 day from my youngest sons 2nd birthday and 5 months and 1 day from oldest sons 5th birthday. Did I just say 5th birthday?!? Where did the time go?

So I have decided to start planning their birthday parties now...you see I will also be planning a baby shower for my Sister In Law (FiDesigns) that will be somewhere in this same time frame. Now you know why I titled this blog "Planning Early So I Won't Stress Later". So in preparation for the parties, I have been doing some looking.

I have decided to a "Monkey" theme for my little monkey's 2nd Birthday. Here is where I am having some problems with the decision making process. I have found 2 Monkey theme party gear I like.... I can't decide which color to go with. So I need some input....any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Destin on my mind

Hello from Destin....I love this time of year. Sleeping in late, eating like a pig, basking in the sun, playing in the ocean...ok who am I kidding... no sleeping late for me. So far Andrew has woke up every morning during the 6am hour, sometimes he will go back to sleep, sometimes not.

So far a great time has been had by all....minus the melt downs Andrew has had. We all traveled to Seaside, FL on Tuesday night to make some pics...my one goal was for us to have a family picture made....no such luck. I made some of Carson in the same outfit Andrew wore when he was the same age...this is something I wanted to do so I can hang them beside each other. I also made some engagement pics of Martha & Bobby and family pics of The Kirksey's. I would love to get some of the boys together at the beach, hopefully we can do this tomorrow afternoon.

Swimming Lessons

This week Andrew had his first swimming lessons and we are so proud of him. We can definelty tell he is starting to like the water better. He wouldn't jump of the diving board but he would jump of the side into the deep end. Hey, I can't complain...it takes courage for a 4 year old to do that. All of the kids did a great job. Thanks to our friend Ms. Emily for taking time to help the kids.

Long time no post....It has been a week but seems like forever since my last post.

I am soooo excited about my new blog button. I totallyLOVE it!! Traci at Sweet Cheeky Designs did a awesome job!! The colors, design & font are great....she is so great to work with. She got it right with the 1st design. Did I mention I LOVE it. Looks like I probably will be getting a new blog makeover in the future. Check her out...her link is under my "Why my house is not clean" column.

We have been busy cleaning out our basement and are finally finished. I now have a workspace for all my jewelry designs. It is finally off of my dining room table...now I just have to clean up the dining room....uh....oh well it shouldn't take long. When I am finished with my new work area downstairs I will post some pics. It is not anything fancy...but hey it works for me.

Awesome Weekend

This weekend was my first time having a booth at a craft show and I was very pleased with the results. My sister in law (FiDesigns) & I teamed up as "2 Hip Chicks" and had a awesome time. The weather was great...a little windy...it kept us up and moving. It was blowing so hard our earrings on display would take off flying...so we would go chasing. It was a site to see...made for plenty of entertainment...lol

I will post a picture of our booth soon...hopefully this week. I have to say it was rather cute. We were very happy how it turned out and had many great compliments on it as well as our jewelry.

I would to say a big "Thank You" to all the people of Smithville and surrounding areas for coming out and supporting the Smithville BPW Club and us. All of the encouragement & compliments really mean alot to us.

I will be adding new items to my ETSY shop...I started today but it will be a long process. It takes time, so keep looking back. For now here are some pics of new designs.

I have had a great few days....business wise. Here are some pics of pieces that are making their way to new owners.

I even sold a necklace that is on the way to Germany...I never thought that would happen..but I am glad it did. I would post a pic of it...but I can't find it on the computer.

I am so grateful for all my customers. Since April 2nd I have sold 10 items on ETSY. Thank you Jesus!!! I was starting to get down about not having sold anything in a month and all of the sudden I am totally blessed. I may go on another dry run for awhile..but that is alright I know it will turn around one day.

Back to work to put out more designs for the craft show next Saturday.

What a weekend

We had the most horrible weather yesterday.....I love Spring, but I don't like tornadoes that come along with it. I am so thankful I did not take Carson to the Dr. in Murfreesboro. Chris & I had discussed me taking Carson Friday to his pediatrician...he has had a head cold for a few days and the over the counter meds are not working. It all started early Friday morning when Chris left to go to Alabama and the weather was getting bad....little did we know that was just a taste of what was to come.

I stayed awake watching the weather and got up about 7:30, still undecided what to do. I had this feeling not to go to Murfreesboro so I didn't call. About 9:30am it was still on my mind about taking him but I decide no....if I called now it would be afternoon before we could get in and the 2nd round of storms were starting up. I am so thankful I went with my feeling...we would have been there when the tornadoes hit.

When the storms starting brewing...I started calling our family to see if they wanted to come to our house cause we have a basement with a storm shelter under our front porch. Several people came...after it was all over Andrew & Carson got to play with Baby Silas....who slept through the whole storm. Here are some pics from the post storm/play date with Silas.

Egg Hunt and Haircuts

What a day....Started off with Andrew's Preschool Easter Party & Egg Hunt and ended with both the boys getting haircuts. This was a special one for Carson...it was his 1st. A sad day for mom...another 1st for her baby....her last baby. Here are some pics.

I have a feeling I probably won't have one...but the boys have something they could wear...but I would like to have them a new outfit just for Easter.

Chicklets anyone?

Something about the turquoise beads reminds me of Chicklets gum...they look so much like them. So I had to name it Chicklet. I love the color combo!!!

I have been working on another necklace this morning inbetween changing diapers, feeding & playing. It will probably make it's way on here soon...but not today.

As soon as Chris gets home from fishing I have to get ready and go get the my cousin ready for a pageant tonight. So don't be surprised if you see a pic or 2 of her sometime soon.

A different turn....The Flipper with a mirror. This is a 1.5"x 1.5". How neat...I have a big fear of eating and having something in my teeth. With this pendant I can simply flip it and look. I know..you are probably laughing now, but this is too neat.

Carson and the Buttercups

Caring on a tradition....Carson had his picture made with the buttercups today. I get to see these everyday going & coming back from work. Whenever I see the little flowers blooming I get all excited cause I know whats around the corner.

These were made in a field about 2 miles from our house...it is so full of color.

We had a very productive weekend....trimmed the landscape...which was a all day project on Saturday & partied like 4 year olds Saturday night at Andrews friends birthday party. We still have so much more to do..so I know what our next few weekends will consist of.

We have been on the road all day.... we left at 9:30 and got home at 5:30. I am soooo tired...but I must carry on!

As soon as we got home I started doing laundry...washing dishes...taking pics of new jewelry....posted 2 items to my ETSY and now I am here.

Listening music for you entertainment

I guess if you had your speakers turned up you noticed the new music. I ran across this today and thought why not...could be neat.

We had to have some Jo Bros, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus (these are Andrews favorites), the rest are my picking...Casting Crowns, Lifehouse, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Lady Ga Ga and more. I plan to add more whenever I have time. I think this could get addicting :)

I have been working on some more cute designs today....whenever I had time, it was just me & the kids today. I have some finished but no pictures yet. That is the plan for tomorrow...if I have time. We are traveling to Maryville in the morning so we will see what happens. But keep looking back I for sure will have them up this coming week.

I am trying to get ready for the Craft Show April 25th. This will be our (my sis in law, The FiDesigns & I) 1st show so we are trying to have a little bit of everything. Whew...it takes awhile to get stuff ready for a show....but it is fun!!!!

Time to get the kiddos to bed. They are having some major fun with Daddy...they have had Daddy withdraw today. I have to be the bad guy and break up the fun :( Oh well, part of being a parent. I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend.

My 50th Post

I just noticed when I signed in this was my 50th post...WOW...that was fast. I was able to get some more work accomplished this weekend. I have been working on this piece as a pendant but it hit me yesterday...this could also be a key chain, could be hooked to a zipper on a back pack, lunchbox or you could even hook it to your suitcase to make it easy to identify.

I don't know what got into me yesterday with the ideas...but I was on fire..hehe :) I will say it was the lovely weather that got the creative juices flowing. Here are some pics of keychain...or whatever you would like to use it as.

This one has made it's way to my keys... I love the green...so springy!!

A day in the SUN!!

What can I say.... I love this weather! Today was the first warm day we as a family have been able to get outside and play. So it was time for some t-ball. Andrew is still trying to decide if he wants to play in the summer league. I don't think he really understands what it is. So we may stay out another year, take him to some games this summer so he will understand better next year.

I finally did it...

I have been wanting to try a new jewelry technique for some time now. I have had some of the equipment for awhile but last week I order some more items I needed. Today I finally was able to complete a new piece. I still have some room for improvement but I am very pleased with the results.

The new piece is called "The Flipper"....It is 2 pendants in 1. Just flip it.

Here are some pictures.

I hopefully will have some of these on my etsy shop within 2 weeks. I have to order more glass.
The Flipper will be probably be around $12.00.

New Designs - The Roxie & The Lola

The design bug is back again. I have worked on 2 different necklaces today in between playing with Carson and telling him "don't do that". It is hard get to much of anything accomplished when it is just me and the kids. I have several other designs in my head....just finding the time to work is the problem. My plan is to design tonight once Chris gets back from fishing.

So for now here is Roxie...Spunky & Chic

I love the pink & black combo...still undecided about adding the extra chain to hang below the black...opinions are always welcomed & appreciated. You never know their might be a "Thank You" gift involved. ;)

And Lola....Simple & Elegant I love the large silver circle and the pale yellow. I think of Easter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS

Yesterday was my Husband Chris' 36th Birthday. So I tired to have a little surprise party with our family. It's hard to have a surprise party when your 4 year old tells the surprise....:) But that is OK, Andrew was just excited about a party. When you mention party he starts thinking about birthday cake and well it's over cause that is all he talks about until the party.

I had Natasha from Elegant Celebrations and Designs to make the cake and she did a great job. When you see the cake some people might think why did you do a fishing cake, but if you know our family (my husband & his brother) you understand. If you don't let me give you some info..... They LOVE fishing.. They fish in tournaments not just here on Center Hill Lake but Old Hickory, Percy Priest, Kentucky Lake & Guntersville Lake in Alabama. Yes, I said Alabama. They will get up at 3 in the morning for several days before a tournament to travel to Alabama to practice. When we see Josh & Leslie....all they (Chris & Josh) talk about is FISHING. Leslie & I talk about jewelry...but that is a different story. We are not near as bad as them:) Even last night at the little party they were talking about....fishing. You see Chris took yesterday off for his birthday and went fishing on Percy Priest to get ready for a tournament Sat. And yes, the weather is suppose to be very cold Saturday with a chance of snow...but that won't stop them. Sometimes I don't get it....but it makes him happy so that is all that matters.

I tell him that the boys are mine when they are little because when they get older they will be out on the lake fishing with him all the time. He just smiles...he can't wait for them to get bigger and to spend those many hours doing his favorite past time. Andrew already has the bug and he is just 4. Anyways, here is a pic of Chris with his birthday cake. Thanks Natasha for the great cake.
